Summer programs!

I'm working to get that summer brochure with the activities lined up...for the kids.
Mark your calendar & call if you're interested. Wednesday, July 16th, we're taking a group to the Noah production at the Sights & Sounds Theater in Branson. Parents are welcome to come along, but I need confirmation & payment by June 22nd. Kids tickets are $15 (up to age 12), teens are $25, parents are $46.54. Let me know ASAP!
We'll also do a trip to Incredible Pizza, Build-A-Bear Workshop, the Springfield Zoo & to Forum Theater (to see Wall-E).

Pick up all the details & information in Junior Worship this Sunday.

Parents - We NEED your help!

There are several openings in our children's ministry areas - particularly the nursery. Please review these positions & let me know if you can help out - even if it's just a couple of Sundays!
  • 2 year olds helper during 10:30 service
  • 3 year olds helper during 10:30 service (June only)
  • 3 year olds teacher during 10:30 service (June)
  • 4/5 year olds helper during 9:15 service (June)

Thank you!

June 1st Picnic & Baptisms

On Sunday, June 1st, it's church picnic time at Lane Springs. After church is over, let's all go out to Lane Springs for some food, fun & fellowship. The church will provide hamburgers & hotdogs & buns. If you'd like to add to that, bring some chips, side dishes and/or desserts.

Also, bring your own paper plates, etc. Don't forget the lawn chairs. The pavillion won't be big enough for everyone to sit at a picnic table.
After we're done eating, we'll head down to the spring for a few baptisms. Some of our kids are being baptized at the spring. It's very cold water. Hence, a very memorable baptism.

Hope to see you there!

  • It's time to be registering for High Hill Christian Camp. Registration can be done on-line at www.highhillcamp.org.
  • Mrs. Charla will be at camp for First Chance Camp (3rd & 4th graders) July 20-22.
  • Mr. Justin will be at camp for Junior High 2 Camp (7th & 8th graders) July 27-Aug 1.
  • Mrs. Charla will be at camp again for Teddy Bear 2 Camp (1st & 2nd graders with a parent) August 1st & 2nd.
  • Early registration ends (which means the discounted price ends) May 24th!
  • Other things I know - several 5th & 6th graders are registering for Pre-teen 2 camp, AND at least one person is registered for sports camp already!

Let me know if you have any questions or need directions or would like to volunteer to help at camp. I do need several people to come with me to Teddy Bear Camp - I'm the dean of that camp and need lotsa help!

Family Worship

  • This Sunday, May 4th is our last Family Worship in the Extreme Home Makeover series. The messages are GREAT (if I do say so myself). We're talking about the Extended Family Makeover and the Church Makeover. You won't want to miss the 3rd message, which is just for your kids.
  • The Worship Service begins at 6pm. BUT, come early for some family fun activities. At 5pm, we'll have some things families can make, some games families can play - just some fun for your whole family.
  • See you there - you won't want to miss it!

Support our Youth Group

On Tuesday, May 6th, consider dinner out at Pizza Inn. The Youth Group is raising $$ to assist with their summer trips (CIY mission trip & CIY summer conference).
See ya there ; )

NEW Babies & HELP Wanted

We have a couple of new babies in our world. The Moronkeji's had their baby girl here in Rolla, MO yesterday (5/2/08). I would like to schedule some meals for her for next week. Let me know if you can help.
As of 12:05am 5/3/08 (Ghana time), the Joneses have a new baby girl. She was 7lbs 2oz with a head full of hair. Juli is doing well and so is the baby, who hasn't been named as of yet. I don't think we can do meals at this point considering they are in Africa, but we can certainly visit their blog & leave messages for them AND keep them in your prayers. http://www.djoulajoneses.blogspot.com/
Lastly, one of our expectant mothers is having some difficulty with her pregnancy and is on bedrest. She's almost 29 weeks, but anticipates being on bedrest for the remainder of her pregnancy. If you're available to help with meals, let me know. jcjam@fidnet.com
I love your kids!
