Vaca & your thoughts on Easter, please!
- The fam just got home from a short vaca. We visited some old friends in Iowa. It seems strange to have gone 8+ years without seeing our friends, the White's. It was a nice change of zip code for a few days. We rested, laughed, played, shopped; and we laughed some more. We made a short stop in Seymour, IA on our way home. This is where Mr. Jeremy's great-great-great grandfather settled after moving from Ireland. He was the first of Jeremy's family to move to America. It was neat to see the 'Jamison's' sign over the building that served as a mercantile to Seymour in the late 1800's.
- I'd love to hear some feedback on the Easter Eggstravaganza. This was our first time doing the egg hunt before Easter - and we'd never done the games, etc. along with it. What did you think? Did it work well for your Easter weekend? How did your kids like it? What did your kids like the most? Leave me a comment...
- Thank you to the many volunteers who came, who saw, and who conquered the Easter Eggstravaganza. I don't know how many people came in all, but there were 200+ kids who hunted (or just ran out & grabbed) eggs. Thank you to everyone who pitched in and helped clean up.
- For those of you who've been asking, I do have a few things planned for April & May (including a Baptism class). I'll try to get that all together and posted next week. I'm starting to work on summer stuff. If you have any great field trip suggestions, leave a comment!
Thank you!! I love your kids :)
